Job Title Verification Supervisor, Pre-Bill*
Location Orange, CA - Orange County*

Position Summary:

The Verification Supervisor is responsible for over-seeing the duties that fall within the Verification Department.

 

Essential Functions:

The Verification Supervisor must be able to adequately perform essential duties in an organized and efficient manner for all phases of Prebilling. These duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Answer questions as they relate to ambulance billing
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve billing related issues
  • Respond to a high volume of emails in a timely manner
  • Train new and seasoned employees as needed
  • Keep up with Medical Necessity & compliance training
  • Recognize and identify appropriate levels of ambulance services
  • Monitor, maintain, & record daily productivity of workflows
  • Report reconciliation
  • Participate in meetings as needed
  • Process PTO/Make up requests based off departmental needs
  • Work special projects as needed
  • Administer disciplinary actions when appropriate
  • Additional duties as defined by management

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma & Medical billing course with completion of the internship
  • At least two years of Ambulance/Healthcare related Billing experience (including insurance verification)
  • Understanding of how Medical Groups vs. Medical Plans work
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees and management
